Bill Scarrott wants to help people move beyond basic spiritual survival.
With roots in a conservative Baptist community, Bill’s own spiritual journey began in his teen years with the divorce of his Christian parents. Torn between what people said and how they lived, he cried out to God to know whether or not all he had learned as a child was a lie. In the years that followed God led Bill from those halls of pain to a place where he knew beyond a doubt that God was good, and that Jesus was alive.
Always ready for another adventure, Bill has followed his Master’s voice from the waves of the Oregon coast where he was baptized, to the deserts of the Middle East, and the shores of West Africa.
Bill has come away from his travels with more than just memories. While customs agents have stamped his passport, God has imprinted on Bill’s heart a burden for the poor and forgotten, and a burning desire to see his Christian brothers and sisters move from a simple belief in “doing the right things” to an experience with the risen Christ.
Bill lives in Alberta, Canada with his wife Karen and two daughters, Kaitlyn and Alyssa.

Mike Cala has been a funeral director for over 15 years, giving him an unusual perspective on life.
Mike grew up in a traditional evangelical Christian home – Christian secondary schooling, Bible College and everything! In his teen years he discovered he had a few “quirks”. He has a penchant for playing “devil’s advocate”, never letting a good discussion slip past him. One of his pet peeves is blind, unexplored, unthinking belief. Lastly, Mike has a blatant disregard for political/religious correctness.
Mike’s sharing and writing comes out of a desire to tell others of the grace, mercy and freedom that can be found in letting Jesus Christ be Lord and Saviour. He writes to provoke, challenge and explore the idea of “being a Christian” in light of the realities of living in today’s world.
Mike lives in Alberta, Canada with his wife and three teenage children.
