Hide and Seek Jesus
I’ve had many conversations with door-to-door evangelists from a variety of religions. Without fail they come across as having all the answers. Many of them try to manipulate the direction of the conversation; any attempt at humility on their part makes one of my eyebrows arch, because I saw better acting in grade 7 drama class.
I wonder… do I come across the same way?
Do you?
I believe the first ingredient in the soup of faith is humility. We may know Jesus, but we certainly don’t know Him well. Perhaps tomorrow we’ll know Him better. Perhaps tomorrow our love for Him will be deeper.
Today let’s try to seek Him.

Nice! I sometimes wonder the same thing of myself. I agree with you on this one again Bill.
I may have changed just one line to this: “I believe the first ingredient in the soup of faith is love expressed in genuine humility”
I thought love would be the flavor, but you could be right. Thanks!
